Senior SharePoint Developer

About the Role
Vertical Relevance is seeking a skilled Senior SharePoint Developer to join our growing team. This full-time remote role is ideal for someone passionate about cloud transformation, technical leadership, and delivering impactful solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SharePoint Developer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of SharePoint-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SharePoint Online and On-Premises environments, strong development skills using Power Platform, SPFx, and .NET technologies, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure business solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

• 5+ years of SharePoint Online/Microsoft 365 development experience. 
• Expert-level proficiency in SharePoint content types, metadata frameworks, and information architecture. 
• Advanced Power Automate development skills for complex workflow automation. 
• Strong understanding of SharePoint permissions, security, and governance. 
• Experience with SharePoint REST APIs and integration patterns. 
• Proficiency in PowerShell for SharePoint administration and automation. 

• Design and configure a SharePoint content type framework to replace traditional folder structures with intelligent metadata-driven organization. 
• Create and configure a Partner Registry with comprehensive risk-relevant metadata fields. 

• Design, develop, and implement custom SharePoint solutions using SPFx, Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint Designer.
• Migrate legacy SharePoint sites and applications to SharePoint Online.
• Develop and maintain custom web parts, workflows, and integrations with third-party systems.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure SharePoint solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Maintain documentation for architecture, configuration, and development processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in SharePoint development 
• Proficiency in SPFx, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS.
• Experience with C#, .NET, REST APIs, and Microsoft Graph.
• Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, site collections, content types, and permissions.
• Familiarity with Azure services and integration with SharePoint.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-600, PL-400).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Viva integrations.
• Experience with governance and compliance in Microsoft 365 environments.
